Two critical errors

After watching the game a 2nd time, 2 plays stood out.

The first was the holding call on Gross when we had it first and goal at the 3. Cam had run it to the 1 yard line, so we would have been facing a 2nd and 1. I like our chances to get the TD in that situation. Instead, we get backed up 10 yards and end up settling for a FG.

The second was in the 4th quarter, when Cam threw wide on a roll out to Naanee. This was an easy TD, but Cam just missed him. Again, we settled for the FG.

We eliminate these two errors, and the interceptions, the fumble by Smitty, and the blown coverages can all be forgotten in the high of a win.

Just a reminder that the difference between winning and losing is razor thin in this league.

I thought the 4 turn overs were pretty critical.

And then there were about 20 other just as critical I can think of at the top of my head.

Missed throw to Naanee.

Missed catch by Naanee.

Blown PI call on Naanee.

Blown play by Cam on 3rd and 1 in the red zone.

Two first half penalties that cost us 2 TDs.

Blown coverage by Pugh.

Poor field position on the returns.

Giving GB great field position.

Blown call by Rivera on not taking the 2nd and 17 which led to Aaron's TD drive.

Dropped passes by Smith.

Etc, etc, etc

It may be razor thin, but yesterday it was anything but razor. We made so many costly mistakes as a team, you could write a small pamphlet. It didn't come down to any one play. There were many, but overall, it was the 4 turn overs and field position that hurt us most.
