Chud's one-dimensional offense

Records don't win games and for all the passing yardage, we haven't managed 24+ points yet.

Say it with me.....'balance'.

Why do we need balance exactly? Balance doesn't win games, points win games. Points that the team left on the field because of mistakes, not because of the run game.

The Patriots rushed for less than 100 yards today.

A team needs both so they can exploit weaknesses and to keep the opponent guessing which, in turn, leads to points. But if you are saying we are the second coming of the Patriots, then buy all means cut Stewart and Williams and lets get a couple more stud wideouts! We can stick some hack in the backfield when or IF we ever decide the run is necessary.

Really, it is both options 3 and 4. We're taking what defenses are giving us (the pass game) and the OL just can't run block right now. Don't know why. Eventually, we will be able to run. Whether it is because they don't have as many in the box or if it is because the OL starts run blocking is the question.

Okay, then the 400 yard games are a fluke then, right? What you are saying is it will eventaully balance out. Whew, I'm so comforted now by knowing that.

( Oh, good luck telling wagon that 400 yard games will start coming to an end though).

Did I say that? All I did was state a fact, we are two weeks in. I'm not diagnosing Chud's entire offense after two games. But you can put more words in my mouth as you wish. More fun i guess.

Nah, you didn't, but the dismissive tone of only two weeks despite the obvious trend sort of laid it out there for me to have some fun. That's all.

A run game would not have helped us yesterday. Cam not throwing 3 picks and Smith not losing the ball would have. Its a simple formula, the team with the most turnovers loses every time.

A run game could have very well prevented those interceptions.

I voted because of Cam's abilities. After last week, the guy proved he can carry a team on his back and I love watching him do work. It's a refreshing switch up from the run heavy attack. Cam will thrive and continue to get better and better in this QB friendly system.

However, it is confusing as hell wondering what the hell they were thinking going into the season. They gave DeAngelo all this money and we can't find ways to get him into a rhytm, partly could be D.Wills fault. But none the less, I am loving the new look Panthers and Chud needs to stick with this, simply because we are scoring alot of points. If the defense tightens up like we know they can we will start blowing out alot of good talent teams.

I can buy the Cards game they were stacked for the run. Even the first half of this game. You have to think GB was loosened up some to take advantage of the run after the first half. As for the personnel, I feel we are lacking a solid FB and usage of the position. Secondly, I think run game is overly simplifed now. I'll have to go back and watch it again, but I'm not sure we are pulling guards and tackles like we have in the past. It seems it's a designed one read to a gap with no misdirection or double teaming and surely very little I-formations with a lead back. That happened a couple times at most versus GB with a lead back.
