Newton's Body language on the sideline

I like it. It's good to wear your emotion on your sleeve sometimes as long as you get that negative energy out in some way and don't let it affect you going forward... Which he isn't.

[sarcasm]Man, Michael Jordan really took away from his greatness by showing his emotion on the court![/sarcasm]

This was something the announcers were talking about early in the game, and they were right.

Basically after every failed TD drive, cam would goto the bench, put a towel over his bowed head. He seemed to be taking the failed performance pretty hard (which is good he is that competitive).

However, the announcers were saying that he needed to be with his teammates, discussing the game, not secluding himself to the bench. I agree with this. Hopefully this gets corrected.

If you rewatch the games, look at this....

Every QB does that. If they aren't doing that, they're looking at photos with the QB coach.

Attached photo - when the Panthers were up 10-0.

And I would have agreed with you and the announcer except for one fuging issue:

A vet should do that, YES!

A rookie......that's where the TEAM needs to go to him and help him out and encourage him!

BIG difference on this one. If he does this towards the end of the season or beginning next year, I would understand. I swear I think some still don't understand the things a rookie QB goes through. Cam may LOOK the part, but come on folks, he's experiencing all of these emotions and situations for the FIRST time. He's still a rookie!

Mora was off base on this. Every time Cam goes to the sideline he sits down with a towel over his head. He does this whether he just threw a pick or just threw for a TD.

He did the same thing last year at Auburn. It is just part of his ritual.

Much ado about nothing.

Edit- you guys beat me to it.

Mora announces because he can't coach. People who can't sell write books and give seminars on sales. It's the way of the world yo.

Very true, but other than being wrong on this, i was pretty impressed with his announcing abilities. Much better than hacks like chris meyers

Steve Smith did the same thing after his fumble. Go tell him to go talk to his teammates about it too. If Cam gave up I'd understand this discussion but he didn't. He kept them in the game. So in response, the thread is poo.
