The Defense did good today

I don't believe this has been brought up yet, but I thought the Panthers defense played an excellent game today, the Packers offense is no joke and we held them off for the most part for the majority of the game.

And they didn't give up a TD on any of the 4 turnovers on offense, they kept the game close and gave us the chance to win, also another great game from CJ and Gamble.

Overall, I agree. Coverage was mostly good, and we got decent pressure on Rogers. The run defense was bad, but thats not as important against Green Bay as some other teams.

btw before the Greg Jennings play was anyone else shocked to see the Green bay WR's were all under 10 yards, I was blown away at that point

Aside from that big chunk starks ripped off, I thought run defense was overall acceptable.

CJ is bringing the funk these past 2 games. One of the better bull rush's I've seen. Gamble playing well too like stated. good to see. We just become real weak in the secondary once we go to nickel package. Pugh doesnt look ready.

Its funny you go into preseason worried about Cam, then you go into the regular season worried about the defense. Now we are 2 games in and we are questioning the one thing we thought we were pretty strong at, the run game. Ah well, I'm confident we will fix the mistakes.

It made a big leap today. Excited to see the blitzing schemes. Once we get this engine going with the big passing plays and blitzing, it's going to be the greatest show on earth!

The only terribly weak link has been Pugh up till this point. Gamble has been a stud and Munny has been solid. CJ is a fuging beast with that bullrush and Hardy is very above average. I've been impressed, and they definitely improved this week over last.

I've always thought the defense will do well eventually, Rivera is probably the best DC of the last 5-6 years and I just can't see us having a bad D long term or past this season.

offense with cam has been looking pretty good(understatement I know) but yeah pretty much I'm concerned about the run game, I thought we passed too much last week and again this week.

I also think unless it's a boot leg that has a lot of space on it or a goal line play I would rather not see newton run, every time I do I think he's going to get injured and that's the last thing that we need to happen. he should not have anymore planned runs.
