Just because the playcall is horrible doesn't mean you have to execute it horribly.

The playcall, whatever it was, wasn't to take a 3 yard loss by running out of bounds, when you have the option to throw the ball away, and plenty of time to do it, with no pressure which would have been no-gain.

If he was scrambling, and got grabbed or taken down, I could understand. But it clearly just didn't register in that moment with him. That was just a rookie, boneheaded, mental error. These are the type of things that he needs to clean up and work on as a rookie.

And we SHOULDN'T be easy on him, on stuff like this. This is what you hit the film room and football classes for. This is football IQ that he has to learn as a QB......... along with sliding. We can't afford to lose this guy to an injury. You only do things like that if you have no choice, and it's in playoff games or Superbowl. Not the beginning of the season.

I think today was a good example of that.

6 plays that cost us the game.

Penalty gives us a FG instead of a TD

Penalty gives us a FG instead of a TD

Pick

Pick

Pick

Fumble.

Fixable mistakes.

Future is Bright

Go Panthers.:drool5:

So ur saying that the Ref's fictitious penalities hurt the Panthers more than then the fictitious ones called against the GB. Give back those two calls and u would have won easily...How many points did the picks and fumble give up?

Not taking sides are we?

The side of what happened.

Naanee is the only receiver that Newton continuously overthrows out in front of him. The others are always overthrown high, if it's overthrown, but rarely out in front of them. This is two weeks in a row where Naanee is reaching for balls that should have been touchdowns if he'd have played faster than he does. Last week he was coasting on that missed TD pass late, today he turned out of his cut too slow.

I'm not "taking sides", I'm acknowledging an emerging pattern.

Two weeks in a row, reaching for balls. Why is he the only one who can never quite get to it? Hopefully next week he's not the one getting balls throw to him in goal line situations.

those plays weren't on Naanee they were all about Cam missing the wide open man in the end zone. Cam has far exceeded my expectations but those throws were garbage....

Naanee was playing too slow, period. I'm sick of people only looking at what happened instead of what was SUPPOSED to happen. Cam had to wait too long for Naanee to start moving in the direction he was rolling. You're looking at where Naanee was, not where he was supposed to be.

No one said Naanee was any good, but if he's open he's open and you can't miss that as an Elite QB.(not saying Cam is elite yet but if he wants to be he has to hit those)

I don't give a crap about Cam and whether or not he's "elite".

Naanee plays slower than he should be playing, especially in crucial situations. No QB throws perfect passes every time, but #2 receivers have been known to bail out a QB every now and then.

You have to throw it perfectly to Naanee for him to catch it, or even try, therefore, he's crap.
