How bout the holding call at the goalline that nullified a touchdown and only got a FG instead? We would have been able to tie the game up in the 4th qrtr with a FG instead of going for it on 4th down. Stop trying to be smart.

Holding calls happen. They suck but they happen in almost every game every week.

Anyone who blames one player for the lose is wrong. Like others have said redzone offense was the blame. The defense did what it could, I say above expectations. If you told me yesterday before the game that we turned the ball over 4 times and we have a chance to tie the game in the 4th, I would have been happy. Offense let the defense down yesterday. Week one it was opposite. Maybe next week they will both turn it on. Imagine the confidence boost the whole team will get if they win next week. Even the coaching staff will feel confident

if you want to point at what likely lost the game you have to look at 3rd and 2.5 inside the 5.

Pound it twice and get the first then score. No need for back to back Newton improvs there.

We killed ourselves with penalties that called back some TD's and some great plays. We played very well other than that, IMHO. Smitty's fumble was bad, but he's going to make up for that every game that follows. We won't remember it by year's end.

We lost because on 3 separate occasions we got the ball inside the 10 yard and didn't convert any of those chances into TDs (2 FGs and TO on downs). Bad calling and lack of execution in the red zone killed us.

I agree that play was dumb and I'm a die-hard Steve Smith fan. However if you think that lost us the game you wasn't watching the same game I was, or the whole game! Our defense, regardless of who, gave up 30 points in basically 3 quarters. That's what lost the game!
