Steve Smith lost us the game

Turnover battle: lost

Big plays: lost (only because of the long Nelson TD. Otherwise, it really is a push)

Lost yardage: lost

Penalties: lost

Pretty big points in the game you have to win if you expect to get a "W" in the "win" column. Otherwise, you're way more likely to get a "L".

I bet Steve Smith is flogging himself tonight about that big fumble. He's a Pro Bowl veteran. He knows better than to try to carry the ball like a loaf of bread. I doubt he'll do that again. Hopefully, he has far fewer drops the rest of the season too.

Gotta have some drills this week where the coaches and players try to strip the ball out of players' hands ... at any given time during practice. Then, they'll protect the ball without consciously thinking about it.

Chud's play calling in the RZ lost us the game

redzone play is normally a very tough on rookies.......so this should not be a surprise. Cam has had some plays he should of made out there......field shrinks....a tough game becomes signficantly tougher in the redzone.

Smith was eating Woodson's lunch. He got those picks because Cam was forcing the throw. Smitty isn't going to be open every play, neither is any WR in football. He had a 156 yds today despite the big play that he dropped. The fumble was a mistake but 9/10 times that ball goes out of bounds. Smith did pretty good despite having a bad day at his own admittance.

You guys can talk all the crap you want about him but without Smith, our TE's get covered, LaFell sees more coverage. His presence on the field is a contribution lets not forget that.

I think one of the best CBs in the league cost us the game. Woodson was all over Smith the whole day.

Not sure which game you were watching but Smith was beating Woodson for the majority of the game.

Woodson, great player don't get me wrong, but was in the right place at the right time for those turnovers.

But I will say Smith's fumble was the biggest momentum killer a la the blunder on the punt coverage last week.
