QBs with consecutive 400-plus yard passing games. Forget rookie, this is just consecutive 400+ yard games.. EVER.

(Sorted by year, not yards)

  • Dan Fouts
  • Dan Marino
  • Phil Simms
  • Billy Volek
  • Matt Cassel
  • Cam Newton
  • Tom Brady

Updated. CBS announcers left Cam Newton off just now.

These CBS buttholes were just raving about Brady and his two 400 yard consecutive games... about how he was the sixth QB to do it... no mention of Cam... they even read that list off.

Cantrell u know full well why Sylvianlight hates Cam... 'cause he's the local branch of the kkk.

To everyone saying 'I want wins not yards':

Cam is showing he can play at a high level in the NFL, he's also showing hes a rookie by making mistakes which cost us games. Once he grows and learns to eliminate those mistakes then he will be a force to be reckoned with, and the wins will come, a lot of them. This team will be a legit contender next year and beyond.

To be fair, Cam only had a lot of yards last week because it was a pooty defense. Grossman threw for like 500 or 600 yards today probably against the Cards. Cam won't have nearly as many yards when he faces a real defense.

Umm he had even more yards this week. Are the Packers a "real" defense?

The whole game is played to win. They could have won the last two games, they didn't, I'm not going to jerk off about passing yards and ignore 3 interceptions that played a big part in losing the game.

That and Steve Smith handing the ball to GB.

Oh c'mon. Lets not forget the main reason we were even a factor in those games was because of #1. Anyone else behind center and we don't stand a chance. Sure, football is played to win, but i think what you're failing to see here is we have an extremely bright future ahead of us, which is what everyone is getting excited about. We've never had a superstar caliber quarterback here in Carolina as we now do with Cam, so i think a little stat indulgence is warranted.

This is only week 2. We have a LOT of football left, and all we can do is get better. I'm thinking Newton is probably the best thing thats ever happened to this team.

I agree. We will get some wins. Our defense looked a lot better and our O line pass protected much better. If we can get the run game going we will be a force to be reckoned with. 7-9 is not out of the question. Who knows, maybe we do better than that.:biggrin5:
