This team is dangerous.

I don't know when, but this team is going to be very good. We're already extremely dangerous... We just need consistency.

I saw glimpses of our defense standing up and saying "not this time." I also saw coverage breakdowns and gaping holes, but we saw glimpses of what could, in the future, be a dominant defense. Even though we gave up huge plays again, I think this was overall a better defensive effort given the 4 turnovers.

Our offense... man... if that running game gets on track, this team is going to just flat out roll some teams over. Chud's short yardage stuff is strange, but I like that he isn't afraid of leaning on the passing game when it's working.... but I think he(Chud) needs to trust his backs more. Cam made mistakes, but he shows repeated glimpses of greatness, sometimes on the same damn drive. This kid is for real - if he keeps working at it, the sky is the limit for this offense.

Right now, mistakes are leading to big plays and killing us. But they are fixable mistakes, and they are areas I think we can address.

During the preseason I expected four wins. I don't know how we'll do, but this team is miles further along than I expected. We are going to be in literally every game and we will give every opponent a run for their money.

We HAVE to get that running game going. Chud gives up way too early on it. I don't know why we even used money on DWill if this is how we are going, I'd have rather spent it on a DT or something else honestly.

If you can get Dwill/Stew running, it's going to be almost impossible to contain Cam.

Defense stepped it up today, they surprised me, give them some time.

Impressive guys. I did not think it was going to be such a game like it was. Cam coming out of college I thought would be another Vince Young but obviously he's the real deal. This is going to be one of those teams this year you need to worry about, better than the record shows. Great game guys, all the best for the rest of the season.

Good game I agree there. We just still have some holes to fill in the offseason. Like a legit number2 WR. The oline needs some help on right side. The D needs a solid number 2 CB and a vet DT. Panthers can win about 6-8 games this season. But most these games will be close or in reach until they learn to finish out game. Missing otah and beason might have been a big minus for us. Who knows right now. But the panthers does have a team here right now and for years to come. They just need a few more key players on both sides of the ball to help out.

    • I realize that the coaches see the players on the roster and practice squad at practice, but there are several players I want to see play substantial minutes in a game situation.  I AM NOT SUGGESTING THAT WE START ALL THESE PLAYERS--I AM SUGGESTING THAT WE GIVE SOME MEANINGFUL PLAYING TIME TO A FEW FROM THIS LIST.  This article about 2022 draft pick (Bears) Velus Jones led to this thread:   https://oldnorthbanter.com/panthers-urged-to-give-former-draft-bust-a-chance-entering-season-s-final-games-01jfzg7bj02n Velus Jones, WR/RB/KR:  Very fast and can be elusive. The article compares him to a Cordarrelle Patterson. Stood out at 2022 SR Bowl.  Drafted in the third round (I think) by Bears.  I did not know he was on the roster.  He is 27. Caleb Farley (CB/S):  He has had his fair share of injuries and his play has been sub par, but maybe the former first rounder was in the wrong position.  Let him face the LOS and move him to Safety.  His injuries (back and knee) and size 6' 2" 200 lbs make it tough to play CB, but I think he might be able to handle Safety, based on my limited knowledge of the skill sets for both positions.  For now, let him play CB, but if he looks decent, consider S. Demani Richardson (S):  Yes, he made a play last week.  Let him play more to see if it was a fluke or legit. Xavier Woods is set to become an UFA at age 30.  Jaden Crumedy (DT):  I have a feeling there will be some house cleaning at DT/DE (3-4) this offseason.  Ray and Tuttle have been embarrassing this season, and Ray becomes an ERFA.  Tuttle can be cut post June 1 for a $6m savings.  A. Robinson has been average at best, but he is signed for 2 more seasons (he too can be cut post June 1 for a $6m savings).  We know we get Brown back and I am confident we draft a DT.  Can Crumedy work into the rotation?  What if we go 4-3?  We need some film on him playing from the 3 tech and the nose. Jacoby Windmon  (ILB)  I realize that he is playing, but  we need to put him in different situations to see how he looks. At 6-2, 250, he has the size to play ILB in a 3-4 or 4-3, but he has also had some reps as a DE in college, if I am not mistaken.  I would like to see him in coverage and blitzing.   He led the team in tackles last week (8).  Andrew Raym (C)   We may have something in Mays, but we need depth.  Can Raym play?  We'd have to bring him up from the PS, but he could step up and keep us from drafting a C late.
    • Learning how to win is better than good draft position. Truthfully, it isn't about position, it's about evaluation. We suck at the later. Until you fix that issue, position will never matter at all.
    • The team really started struggling when rod nuked the lines then kept doing it. He killed all chemistry we built.  That leads to our stars not playing like stars.  Mix in average goalie play, well we aren’t that good. That’s the issue. Luckily, are stars can play well and we can buy a goalie.     Ask me after the back to back with NJ. I think we can all agree that winning one of the two games would be a win.
