Cam's rookie mistakes

I swear, the way most of you react, is borderline childish.

I love the heck out of cam newton. It is exciting to have a qb of his talent and leadership. Every game is exciting....but i can't even talk about his mistakes without a bunch of fugin pussies crying.

Pathetic.

Amen. I got your back on that man: Cam Newton's 3 interceptions and bonehead play on 3rd and 1 was the main reason we lost the game today!

I'm tired of seeing everyone dodging the issue. Do I excuse him? Of course. He's a rookie. I expect that. But that had more to do with our loss than a missed coverage by Pugh here, a missed pass by Naanee there, or even yes, one fumble by Smith. He was by far the biggest reason for our loss, more than any other player, and at the same time, also the biggest reason for us actually being in position to win the game, also more than any other player.

3 pics is a lot. I also expect Cam to get better, and I also believe he is capable enough, and this team is capable enough, to overcome even mistakes such as those, and still win the game.

I don't understand the fascination football fans (not just ours - all of them) have with finding a single reason why a game was lost. This is a team game with team results. There will always be multiple places during a game you can point to and say "if this happens differently the outcome of this game is different" and it's a near certainty that the same player or action is not involved in each of those places.

Yes his rookie mistakes hurt us. So did the following: suspect red zone playcalling, Smitty's fumble, Green Bay's defense, a few suspect calls by the officials, Naneenaaneenaaneenaaneenaanee being terrible, lack of production by our running backs when they did get the nod, etc etc etc.

Every thread that proclaims the reason for our loss serves no purpose other than to make us look ridiculous.

Yes but out of all of those the only mistake that's actually a tracked, regular stat and really do make a significant difference, is turn overs.

That's always a killer. 4 of them is basically suicide. I don't care who makes them, one guy, or a team as a whole, but any time you have 4 turn overs your expectations of winning plummet to single digits.

4 turnovers. 3 by the qb. (In the past, that was always enough for a bit of talk/debate.

Piss poor decision made by the rookie, on his last trip into the redzone (which is not the first time, and has now developed into a pattern). It's the critical part of his game he needs to improve the most, and ASAP, if we're going to win.

There is no other guy that i want out there as qb, than cam newton.

And it's alright to talk about his mistakeserrors. If the majority of you could stop worshipping him long enough to have an intelligent conversation, ya might actually learn something.

The best thing about cam so far, is he is NOT happy with his performances the last two weeks. He KNOWS the mistakes he's making is churting he team more than others. He's not satisfied with being worshipped by yall. He actually wants to improve his game, and eliminate his mistakes, and speaks of doing so.

He has a heart of a champion, and isn't afraid to talk about his mistakes.

Learn from the guy that ya worship.

Cam knows he didn't do a good job taking care of the ball. He will only learn from this which will make him better In The future. 3 picks did hurt no matter how you look at it. You can't give Aaron that many snaps. The defense bailed us out but as an offense we have to get better at redzone scoring. Good thing is I do see improvements.from everyone. He is still a rookie which at times show but he will get better and so will the playcalling

Cosst us the game.

You can piss and moan about bad officating (there was a bit of it).

You can piss and moan about the lack of running in the second half.

You can piss and moan about steve smith having an off day.

Despite that, we still had a chance to win the game,

The game was lost by rookie mistakes.

The good news is, cam will get to the point he doesn't make those mistakes. He'll be one of the best to play the game.

Also want to give a shout out to our defense. So many turn overs, short fields, and they kept us in the game against the champs, arguably the best offense in the league.

All those things cost us the game. Bad penalties in the red zone, turnovers, and the inability to score TDs instead of field goals when we got in the red zone cost us the game.

Cam's mistakes deserve part of the blame for sure but I don't think it is fair to lay the entire game on his feet.

Plus we were in a position to win the game despite those turnovers. So they didn't cost us the game. They cost us blowing the Packers the fug out.

Does Newton call the plays? The redzone game plan has been terrible and they're asking too much of him. Give the damn ball to one of the two stud running backs on the roster.

isn't it funny how the cam haters are forever trying to figure out ways of getting into other people's heads with their twisted logic.

The question is, why do u hate cam so much that u feel u will pretend to like him only when he plays well but as soon as he screws up, u try to put all the blame of a team lose on his back??? Sounds to me that u really don't like cam. U're just tollerating him.

Did Newton cost us the game? Not anymore than the other issues and concerns that plagued us yesterday. Did he struggle with turnovers? Yes. Does he need to improve? Yes.

No one needs to exonerate him or castigate him at this point. He is a rookie and made some mistakes. There is plenty of youth to go around and lots of mistakes were made across the board.

To say he lost the game ignores the myriad of issues and opportunities that we missed in other areas?? How many picks did we get? How many blown coverages were there that lead to Green Bay scores?? Did that cost us the game?

What about penalties that brought back scores or negated big plays?? Did that cost us the game??

Quarterbacks get too much credit when we win and too much blame when we lose. Newton didn't lose this game for us but his sloppy play contributed to points for Green Bay which we could ill afford. He was a factor but not the whole issue.

It is quite sickening that the worship of cam is so much, that so few can look at him without bias.

I was one of the biggest opponents to taking Cam.

But, if you cannot see how damn good this guy is....you are a fuging moron.

Cam had us in a position to win that game. He CARRIED this team. He made some rookie mistakes, and that is to be expected. However, the positive plays that this guy makes FAR out weighs those mistakes.

Keep posting.....you look more and more like one of the biggest idiots on this board.
