Cam's rookie mistakes

I was at the game today and yes Cam threw 2 passes that cost us. The play calling in the redzone was garbage toward the end of the game which cost us points. The total abadonment of the run in that situation was nonsense. Also there was on veteran mistake when Smith didn't protect the ball. I am not a Cam Hugger or Hater but without him this game wouldn't have been close.

Cam is a rookie and was 33% in the Redzone today.

Rodgers is a superbowl champ and was 25% in the redzone.

Let him develop a little before we talk about redzone, fug.

His rookie mistakes cost the game, but we wouldn't have even been in it if it weren't for his throwing, so it's a push. What can you do except wait for him to learn from his mistakes?

It is quite sickening that the worship of cam is so much, that so few can look at him without bias.

Oh please...U start a thread clearly out to criticize Cam with nothing more than repeating the "rookie mistake" mantra then accuse folks who make a better argument than urs in defense of Cam as being "worshipers."

Okay...tell me, how many of Cam's interceptions actually turned into tds for the GBP? How many TDs did the Panthers actually get including the ones call back by the refs?

And it's really sickening how so many of u simply use this kid just to get attention.

I'm with you man. Screw the haters and the excuse makers.

Sorry I'm off the "we're a young team, in rebuilding mode and be patient" bandwagon.

I saw a team this past 2 games that could beat the crap out of both teams they played. I only give leniency to Cam because he is a rookie, and I expected rookie mistakes.

Now, I expect them to win. I expect the mistakes to be limited going forward. I believe we are a better team than what we have seen this past 2 weeks. My team has made me raise my expectations. Cam Newton has raised my expectations.

This team has showed me they have all the tools they need to come away with a win against any team in the NFL right now. Whether or not we do it, comes down to one thing: mistakes.

Forget the rookie, forget the holes in positions, forget the youth. Any team, ANY team, any Sunday, of any year, that turns the ball over 4 times is going to likely get their ass kicked severly.

And we didn't. We beat ourselves. That tells me everything I need to know about my expectations for this team.

slow down, kid.

I have nothing against cam. In fact, he will prolly go down as the best panther. He's going to be a great quarterback. He aint there yet.

Take the lumps, or shut the hell up.

By the way..credit the defense for the picks not turning into touchdowns.

Come back when ya have a brain.

Team game, team sport and team loss.

/thread

your right...his red zone production was great...what was i thinking.

Yes, it is a team sport. And the guy with the ball in his hands every snap showed he is still a rookie. When will any of you just accept that? It's not like i want cam to fail, or giving him undo credit.
