I thought he was a project?? Were you expecting Tom Brady in game 2?

No, not at all.

He is exceeding all expectations from literally everyone statistically.

With that said, there is no reason to sugar coat his performance today.

Threw for a lot of yards, made a lot of rookie mistakes, turned the ball over too many times.

 Keep adding those conditional phrases

He had a nice statistical game...his performance was far from excellent.

What is he supposed to do, play defense as well? In the history of the panthers franchise nobody ever threw for as many yards as he did today.

Cam has the potential to be a Sports Icon and Mega-Star. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods....Marketing Gold.

Starting with the fact he should become really great from what we see so far and potential we already knew he had. Also though, and this is politically incorrect to say, but the Sports marketing world has been dying for a clean-cut black QB star for a long time. Cam is it, just don't kill any dogs Cam and you will get paid huge with endorsements.

Notice how the sports world has been sniffing the Panthers butt all week and Fox had Cam in background all day in studio. Just the start. Within a few years Cam will be the face of the NFL.

Cam made enough rookie plays that you can't really say he played excellent unless you add the conditional "for a rookie", but he played tough and he showed that he very well could be one of the next great NFL QBs. At times he looked like a rookie but more often than not I felt like we had a chance on any given play on offense, something I haven't felt before in some time (ok, not since 2009 with Moore, but still :p)

Now we need to work on our redzone offense...

Sorta like most rookies?? Just wait until he gets a little bit better fundamentally and some experience to make better decisions before the ball is even snapped

You have to admit that the sky is the limit for this guy. Still has a lot to prove but for being a rookie I am not sure how you can't be excited.

It may not happen this year but the kid is already explosive, just wait until he actually knows what he is doing also.

Well, he is a rookie. All you can compare him to is other rookies.
