Just got Rosetta Stone w/ Japanese language pack.

I learned quite a bit before I went over there in 1984. Then once I got over there, almost everyone spoke English. :rolleyes:

Even if you went out to eat in a mainly Japanese place, usually the hostest spoke English, of you could just point at the food to order.

I spoke enough to order a young girl to walk on my back and to do me, twice! (Damn, she had some muscle control! And, what she could do with her feet........ anyway!) To this day I still don't know if I was charged 3, 30 or 300 US dollars! (It did't matter, IBM paid for it anyway! :))

Don't bother to learn the word for "NO" of "CAN'T". The Japanese never use then.

Now, I wish I hadn't forgotten everything I leared about sign language.
