I lie and tell people I got it in an attempt to expand my horizons and grow as a person, but really I just got it so I can watch anime without having to read the subtitles lol.

Anyway has anyone ever tried this out? Does it work for you? Anybody on the huddle speak any other languages besides English, Ebonics, Redneck, or Dumbass?

I don't like how you are insinuating only white people speak Japanese.

On a serious note, there aren't a lot of people who speak Japanese other than, well, the Japanese.

From what I've seen of Rosetta Stone it mostly covers only the basics and is horribly overpriced. This was for Spanish mind you. Japanese will require more instruction. Honestly the best thing to do is to grab a real textbook and take a real class at a college.

I have 2 black friends that speak Japanese and Korean Fluently. They should be learning Chinese.

Hahah, you used urban dictionary? I already know two languages, I could use a third, but learning Japanese just for the anime, eh. Not my cup of tea. I rather learn one more language that I will use frequently or will help me get a better job. I was thinking about chinese but there's so many variations. I might opt for Russian.

Japanese is not a great idea for Rosetta stone. I took Japanese in high school and I've been to Japan, without knowing Kanji you really know nothing and I doubt Rosetta stone will be teaching you that. Take some classes, that's the only way to really do anything with a language like Japanese as opposed to something like French or Spanish that uses the same basic alphabet.
