Interesting Quote from DeAngelo Williams

Mr. Scot

Super Bowl season we had game after game where we prevailed and got to the Championship DIRECTLY due to 2nd half adjustments. Was that the real Fox? The next year, those tweaks freakin' disappeared and were replaced with not only "a punt is not necessarily a bad play" but with the inane "it is what it is" and many more defeatist comments and attitudes.

I don't blame Fox 100% (...cough....JR) but it was clear at least a year before he was let go that he had burned out in this job. Good luck in Denver, personally I think you will be coaching the secondary in Oakland in two years but what do I know?

Oh btw for those reviewing this thread cyberjag is either trying to troll me or somehow his thought process took him from me thinking fox is horribly overrated and led him to a point that came to the conclusion that i'm a nihilist because of it, using the old method of assuming everyone who disagrees with you has a mental problem, which is a typical strategy used by people who would lose a serious debate in less than 30 seconds.

Or maybe both

Actually, I was kind of bemused that you felt the need to make post after post after post on just how much you disliked Fox, as if you couldn't take the time to coherently put things together before hitting the submit button. And I couldn't help but pick up on the anger, which I honestly don't understand given that he's gone and we have a new staff now. And I don't know if you're a bandwagoner or not, don't care, it just isn't relevant to that whole observation.

Sorry if I got under your skin. Bad on me for letting myself get sucked in to this discussion. :)

I respect Cyberjag's opinions but I was so over Fox two years ago and totally thrown for a loop why he was brought back as a lame duck last year. His departure was inevitable but late.

But I'm not on the Rivera bandwagon and think it is amusing how media "spin" reflects upon a new coach. I expect Rivera to take more chances because he has less to lose and that is the mandate. Does that make him a better coach than Fox? Moot point. He is our coach and I fully support him for 2011. But I'm a Panther fan, not a Fox or Rivera fan.... there is a bottom line.

Frankly, I'm more worried right now about Chud being wildly successful and moving on to a HC job in a year or two.
