Need some Home Theatre advice

Ok, so I've recently upgraded the front 3 speakers in my modest HT setup.

I was lucky enough to get these monsters for 50$ for the pair

and have paired them up with this center channel speaker

I am currently running these on a decade old Sony HTIB receiver that is 100wattsx5 with 16 gauge wire for the front 3, 2 Sony surrounds and a powered Sony sub.

Even with this frankenstein type of setup, it sounds very very good... but I want to push these RT400s. I would like to upgrade soon, to a receiver with HDMI audio capabilities(Dolby True HD, etc). Something around 400$. Also, what is a good brand of wiring and should I consider an even thicker gauge for my front setup?

Thanks in advance!
