Running Game is the key to a win....

We will be fine if they respect the passing game.... I bet d will has a 100 yard game

So a running back that hasn't had a 100 yard game in almost 2 years is going to rush for over 100 yds against a team that only let only 2 RB's rush for 100 yds against them all of last year? Keep in mind they had more rushing attempts against them than almost every other team.

Anything can happen I guess but I think some of you are severely underestimating the Packers run defense. It's quite nasty.

did anyone expect Cam Newton to pass for over 400 yards when hes had no OTAs and he came from a option style offense? No.

it all depends on what capers gives them. if they focus on stopping the run game, we won't have anyone running for 100 yards or even close. thats what teams did last year and what the cards did last week.

it wasn't because we weren't dedicated to the run. it was because defenses forced us out of it. we were forced into trying to beat them through the air. 'zona showed that we have a passing game that now should be respected or at least garners attention that it didn't previously. if the defense focuses in on shutting down the passing game, that opens up the run game and vice versa.

the packers defense is going to have to become very balanced. the key to winning the game isn't one phase of our offense, but in taking advantage of what the packers give us. it may be that we have to go back and forth between the run game and the passing game pretty evenly.

what will give us a win is forcing the packers to respond to what we are doing rather than letting them dictate to us what we do. if we come out running, they won't be able to use 2 downlinemen and allocate all thier resources to shutting down receiving options. if we commit to throwing the ball then they won't be able to stack the box and blitz every down.

done right, we could win this.

Depends on what they run. If they run a 2-4-5 which they did 65% of the time last year, we surely should be able to run against 6 in the box. Depends on what they decide to stop like Rayzor said.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
