Recommendations?

I love seafood, wife hates it. Looking for good variety and reasonably priced without it being a chain or franchise. Want something local.

Ride up to Carolina Beach and go to Michael's... I have not eaten there, but I hear it's good.

tell her to eat a sandwich at home (she makes it, obviously) ..then she can watch you eat at the restaurant...cheaper too! it's definitely a win win situation!

be a bit of a drive from where you are but I always recommend K38 baja grill. they have chicken and steak as well as fish in their dishes so you and the wife could be happy. some of the best salsa i've ever had too.

I have a friend that works at K38. It's not bad, but not great. The salsa is amazing though.

i disagree. the del mar and santa fe rolls in particular. i could eat them anytime.

If you really like Baja food then it's probably good. But it's Baja food, which is near impossible to make better or worse anywhere you go.

Britt's Donuts...if you are from ILM and haven't had them, what is wrong with you?

Michael's is really good. If I am not mistaken, there is no fried food there.

I would have to agree with DirtyMagic...K38 is good, not great. Sorry KK.

Casey's (I have heard) used to be "A Taste of Country" downtown...
