For myself, I didn't follow offseason moves as close as I do now. I didn't really understand the business of football back then. So I have to say no.

That was back when I was much in favor of free agency and I didn't really understand the value of first round picks either.

Let's just say I've reversed my thinking completely now.

Actually, yes it was. He asked if anybody initially liked the Gilbert signing, and I answered him. I just gave him enough credit that he would understand the implication I was making. But to make sure everyone understands, no, I didn't like the signing. While Gilbert was a good player, I felt he was not worth two first round picks and the huge salary he got.
