Carolina Wing Fest: Road to Buffalo

Drew Cerza, "The Wing King," and producer of the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, N.Y., is bringing his contest for the best wings to Charlotte.

Cerza's Road to Buffalo Tour kicks off 12 p.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Metrolina Trade Show Expo, 7100 Statesville Road.

Attendees can sample wings from local restaurants and vote on their favorites. Restaurant participants include: Dilworth Grille, Duckworth's, d.d. Peckers' Wing Shack, Lebowski's, Hickory Tavern, Moosehead Grill and more. The winner will advance to compete in the Buffalo Wing Festival in New York. The event includes activities, contests, live music and food. Admission is $10; children 8 and younger are free.
