Otah suffered a concussion

you are saying what?

Rivera said the hit was clear on film. Otah didn't feel the effects until Monday.

Otah came into camp too good of shape for him not to want to be playing football.

Rivera is publicly supportive of his players.

I don't know what he believes and he may not be aware of the opinions of others. And at the end of the day those other opinions really don't matter. I'm just telling you this is a diagnosis that not everyone over there accepts at face value.

How are they supposed to know? It's not like he has a buzzer on his belt that goes off when he gets his bell rung. I'd be surprised if there's afine.

No, but they obviously took him out for a series or two, and checked him out. Apparently he passed the concussion test while still having a concussion. Or, the doctor (I think the concussion test doctor is a third-party doctor hired by the NFL, and doesn't work for either team...) didn't do his test right.

Either way, I'm sure the NFL is still angry at the situation.

well, I know Thomas Davis said he body and conditioning really struggled in some of the preseason games.

Otah literally played a couple downs in the Pitt game......and hasn't had any physical football reps since when he went to IR. That is a LONG stretch.

I mean, going that long without playing an NFL game....missing reps in camp and the preseason......maybe those "symptoms are just him getting pounded on for a full game when your body has been worked up for it.

That would make sense wouldn't it? I mean, if we really reflected....Otah probably shouldn't be able to step back on the field after week 1 and be in great shape. Maybe by Fri his body will be ready for another pounding.

Not everyone at 800 S Mint is persuaded that he actually suffered a concussion. And it's not because of lack of faith in the diagnosing physician.

anything to back this up? just curious.

can't say I'm surprised if it is true, but I don't see why he would be faking a concussion... at very least he came to camp in shape etc and looked ready to go at the start.

i dunno, he's a great linemen when healthy so I hope he gets better fast... but it is frustrating seeing him injured nearly continuously.

Otah has been diagnosed with a concussion and the team, as a matter of record, has accepted the diagnosis.

Welcome to the Huddle Mr. Hurney. Most people here think you suck.
