Predicting a loss vs. GB

I predicted we'd beat Arizona so I guess my 5-12 overall has taken a hit. I think the Vegas odds had us at 4 wins so now I'm in line with them.

For what it is worth unless Manning comes back, the projected loss to Indy could change if they play as bad as they did last week. So you still might hit your target.

Seeing as how my post count is so high, I might as well weigh in on this. I EXPECT for us to play better this week. I EXPECT us to play hard, and fight to the end. I also EXPECT us to win.

I EXPECT Cameron to play better than people think he will. I EXPECT us to be able to run effectively. I also EXPECT our D to lead us to victory. Rodgers is not infallible, he can make mistakes. IF we capitalize on them, I EXPECT us to win.

Just because I EXPECT us to win, does not mean I have to bet the house to prove my fandom. IMO, people play the realist card because they are unwilling to go all in behind their team. "I do not hope, because I get dissapointed when we lose." These are the type of people that play games for the camaraderie, not for the sheer delight of victory. I personally, like victory. It is why I play the game, to win. When I play, I EXPECT to win, and I absolutely hate to lose. I take the same approach to my teams. WIN OR LOSE, I AM ALL IN!!!

Nothing wrong with being a REALIST. I just happen to personally think it is a cop-out from people not wanting to fully invest their emotions where they have no control. They have no say in how the Panthers run their franchise, so they refuse to cede control to others by becoming a REALIST.

Just another in a long line of thoughts. And GOOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope completely incorrect.

For me there is a complete separation between cheering and betting.

Betting is purely logical and represents my true expectation.

Cheering is purely emotional and i will be cheering louder than you on Sunday.

I am also offering to take Green Bay in a bet if anyone wants to let their emotions creep in on their betting judgment.

I'll bet up to $1000 with any takers. You guys will be pissed when the Panthers win and you didn't take this bet.

I never bet on my teams, it is just not done. So WHEN the Panthers do win I will be as giddy as giddy can be. But saying your a Panther fan, and then be willing to bet against them says more about you than you may realize.

Also, claiming you will be cheering louder than me is either self promotion, or a poor attempt at trolling.

I am a sports fan, love my Panthers and Lions, and am willing to put my emotions out there for all to see. It may embarrass the wife, but she got used to it. She is even getting used to all the giddy lying around the house.

Oh well, it takes all kinds. And GOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!

You don't actually believe the panthers will win.

You HOPE they will win which is great. And you WANT them to. And you will go nuts if they somehow do. So will I.

I don't think I have ever bet on the Panthers before except one Superbowl bet. I'm only willing to bet on the panthers this week because of all the strange homer-ism this week. And confusion of logic vs emotion.

Anyone who wants the bet pm me. Put your money where your mouth is.
