Predicting a loss vs. GB

Cam and the offense will keep the Panthers in the game, but Aaron Rodgers will completely cut open the Panthers secondary. If Kevin Kolb can have the day he had...first game on a new team in a new system...imagine what Rodgers is going to do with the hurry up offense and all the weapons he has. With Beason out and Connor a serious liability in pass coverage, it's going to be wide open up the middle.

I just hope McDermott realizes there isn't enough talent in the secondary to blitz as much as he wants.

Prediction:

Packers 45

Panthers 28

I don't see the Packers putting up those points. I think they beat us fairly easily.....but based on that NO game NO dictated it would be a shoot early by there defense. Carolina can dictate that GB opts to run more.....like NO did later in the game. I think Carolina will make them want to run.....Carolina will run more. simply a matter of less attempts for the GB offense.

Our best bet is to run the ball and keep the GB offense off the field.I see us throwing more to TEs more to counter the zone blitz. If we execute the run and time of possesion it may be respecful but make no doubt ARogers will torch our dbs but maybe Gamble. On defense I see us throwing everything we have blitzing Rogers.I think it is the only shot we have.If he has times he will torch our dbs.

If Cam wouldn't have had an all-pro performance this past Sunday, I'd say they might overlook us and we might be able to get the upset. But with Cam playing like he did, they're going to come to play. IDK, maybe they might still be under the mindset of "he's a rookie, it was a fluke" in which case, the upset is possible.

I got us losing 35-20. Game is much tighter though. I got us at a 10-7 lead going into halftime, then they come out and pull away late. We rally, but it isn't enough. I think our defense will be surprising this week.

Of course, we could easily be down by 20 at halftime as well. We'll have to see.

I think the best bet is to give them fronts that are attractive to run on.....keeps GB on the field longer.

You saw the Saints wisely adjust doing that....Rodgers will pick apart pressure for big and quick drives. Better to get GB to put the offense on the RBs.....

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
