Endzone Celebrations = Lame

Any preplanned celebration is fugging lame.

Genuine unbridled enthusiasm and excitement is fine. Go ahead and jump around, slap helmets, etc.

But once you get into your choreographed pre planned vain attempt to impress someone, its amateur hour. Its sad when a TD is a big deal for you, it should be commonplace.

Lame.

Over the top celebrations are bush. So is dumping the Gatorade on the coach. So is going nuts over a routine first down catch, just make the play.

Save the over the top celebrations for over the top plays.

Depends on the player. Smitty's "I'm on that lake" canoe was awesome considering it was the week of the Vikings sex boat scandal.

I have a 24x30 autograghed picture of that in my office.

I would suggest players only celabrate if they're having a winning season and they must be winning the game, and you better make sure it doesn't cost your TEAM 15 yards on the next kick off.

Steve bagging on the Vikes with the rowboat celebration is f*cking classic.

T.O as a Niner spreading those wings on the Dallas star is another classic.

Ochocinco's weren't as big and controversial, but he still had some entertaining ones.

I think that if someone wants to celebrate, they should be able to however they want. The league needs to chill out with the penalties for celebrations and big hits. It's football, sh*t happens.

I'm all for a creative endzone celebration. Watching 2005 and wondering what Steve Smith and Chad Ochocinco had in store for the next week was great. If teams don't like it, don't let them score on you. The "selfish" argument is ridiculous. Ray Lewis has had his intro-dance for years, but he is more of a team player than most of the guys in the league. It shows these guys have personality. Chill out.
