Rule #1 when you are hauling coke. NEVER say you are going to Iowa.

I was born and raised in Boone, the only times I ever got pulled over in Boone I was actually doing something wrong. Beech Mountain, and Banner Elk....completely different story. When I worked as a ski instructor on Beech, if one of those dickholes saw my car they would literally immediately pull out behind me and follow me to where ever I was going or to the town limits just waiting on me to mess up.

It was strange, must have been the car I drove or something. I'd be on 321 or Rivers and a cop would swoop in behind me, pull me over, claim that he thought I wasn't wearing my seatbelt or something like that, run my license, and send me off. It was always the worst in the summer when all the dorm dwellers were gone.

I live in Boone and that is my experience as well. Boone is okay but Beech, Seven Devils and Banner Elk are not. Matter of a fact all of Avery County is pretty well a danger zone.

How far have we come as a society were all you guys can complain about is the fact a law enforcement officer pulled someone over for something illegal and just kept 10 million dollars of family, marriage, and children destroying drugs out of peoples hands, and your upset with the officer. WOW. The drugs really have damaged your brains.

So we should sell cocaine right beside it. I might buy legalizing maryj beside it if you just have to have something else to waste your life and talents away with but cocaine. Really?

Legalize it and you eliminate the criminal element of all drug business, you eliminate the "illegal mystique". You treat it like a social problem, which is really what addiction is, not a criminal problem. The only reason there is so much crime associated with drugs is because it's people make money from it, take that away and it dies.
