Fox Era should have made you stronger not weaker

This is not directed at everyone but this applies to many of you...

I am sick of reading of people bitching about us not going after every name they have heard of. Also tired of people saying we have no chance this year, Green Bay is going to demolish us,etc..

Its a new era in Carolina and we have a damn strong core.

One of the best offensive lines in the league. Same can be said for our TE's,RB's,LB's, we have a superstar talent at receiver, a great # 1 corner, a top pass rusher, extremely promising QB,etc.

Other positions we are young at and can only get better with experience.

We have a Good team and coaches who so far have given us every reason to believe in them. on top of all that we have our first and second round pick next year.

I know we have bee burned before by injuries and pooty coaching but we have tons to be excited about right now and well into the future.

I agree with alot of what your are saying. I am sure in places, there might be a guy or two who is not as good as we think.... but YEAH, I agree.

I tell you though ...... werent you just waiting for the team to implode last Sunday  I am still shell shocked from the last couple of years and its going to take me a little while to get over that. :)

And Thank God that the Fox Ball era is over. I have been dreaming of the day that we would rid ourselves of Fox for several years now and create a more fun brand of football to watch, ie N.E., N.O., IND and all the passing teams. Feel sorry for Denver. What a horrible hire. This league is a passing league now and they have gone back to the stone age.

If Jimmy was still our starter you will see the same thing here that you do in Denver. Look at Jimmy's pre-season performance. If Luck goes to Denver next year, I am sure they will open it up. You have to have the tools/players more specifically QB to run that type of system.

Lol, you guys act like Denver went backwards or they were supposed to win a bunch of games. They did have the 2nd pick in the draft for a reason. They didn;t sign a bunch of play making players... So it's not gonna happen over night.

Can we be a little more objective.

I'm with the OP on this one. I will be so glad when some of the folks around here will spit out Fox's FU season man juice from their mouths and start looking at the brighter side. Don't think the players in that locker room don't know that it was their game and they beat themselves.

The most impressive part of Cam's leadership is he defied all odds and played like a champion that critics said he wouldn't. Aside from Steve Smith, the rest of the team let us down. Some more than others, but I feel confident that this group will look at the example set forth by Cam and defy the critics that say we are too weak at DT and secondary and Olineetc and go out and repay cam the favor for defying the odds.

Eagles buddy of mine text me earlier boasting about the 124 points GB will score on us, my reply was.......It's ashame our fan base feels that way but think God our players don't !!!!!

i think we can hang with anyone..think back to the end of 2009 when we finally got some decent QB play and we were beating teams that were in the playoff hunt. That core is still here, just add Cam Newton, Otah healthy, and sadly replace Beason with Connor..All our team needs is a little motivation and gameplan(Rivera), and there is no reason to think we be in position to win games all year.

if we are so stacked with talent, best oline, top receiver, top de, top lbs, top cb, top rbs, ect ect ect then how exactly do we have a record setting debut from our QB and still lose to a bad cardinals team

Our core is in place. So if you don't like them and not a bandwagoner it's gonna be a tough next few years for you.

Fox is who Fox is. He has a philosphy that is very unlikely to change. It doesn't matter who the QB is. He is always going to play not to lose, be very conservative and keep the game close. Drew Brees would have been wasted here in Carolina playing Fox Ball. I feel hope as a Panther fan with Fox gone and Rivera here. Good luck Denver. By the way, the purpose of my post isn't to discuss Denver Broncos football, it was about the hope I have in our new coaching staff, since we have finally rid our team of the predictable and boring playcalling that Fox believed in.
