Ron Fields and Reggie Wells?

I don't mind the Wells signing I guess...

Ron Fields is horrific though. If you're gonna sign a 30+ y/o DT, why not go with... I dunno... Pat Williams (live without him for 2 games, big deal), Jamal Williams, Marcus Stroud, Gerard Warren, Tommie Harris, etc. It's not like they can command much money considered they don't have jobs after the season has started. And even though they're all past their primes, this new guy didn't even have one. Ugh.

Pat Williams....39 yo

Jamal Williams....was never even close to the same player after the injury

Marcus Stroud....bum shoulder

Gerard Warren....will be expensive and wil lreturn to the Patriots

Tommie Harris....not sure on this one. I will defer to Rivera (who knows him well).

Cardinals fan here.

Reggie Wells is a very solid pass blocking guard, who struggles in the run game. His feet are so good, that early in his career there was talk of moving him to LT. He's strictly a finesse player, and in my opinion, a great pick up for you guys.

As for Fields....MAN it was easy running the ball on the Panthers. If Beanie Wells could avoid tripping over his own feet, he easily gets 150 yards rushing. One play, all he had to do was get past the line of scrimmage, and he would've had an easy 50 yard TD. You guys definitely need some help up front, we were absolutely shocked at how easy it was to run, a departure from our past games against the Panthers.

Panthers fan here.

MAN was it easy for a rookie QB to put up 422 yards on the Cardinals. If the one pass to Smitty had not been overturned as OOB, Cam would have put up 500 yards passing. You guys definitely need some help in your passing defense. We were absolutely shocked to see a rookie QB who everyone thought was a project just SHRED your defensive backfield.

Please go back to the desert....why would we give two shits about the opinion of some Cardinals fan ( you know, that pathetic organization that can only be even slightly relevant i nthe NFL becuase they are playing in the most God Awful division in the history of the NFL).

Wow, a little butthurt?

It was easy to run the ball on us early, adjustments were made and Beanie's effectiveness was limited after that. We're still feeling out our DT's and knee it would be an issue.

I think it will be an issue for you guys this year, especially with Beason hurt.

But with Newton on your team, you guys are going to win more games than anyone outside of Carolina expected.

I kept telling Cardinals fans not to take Carolina lightly, that you guys were better than most 2-14 teams, you guys just desperately needed solid QB play. Just like we were better than 5-11 last year, we just had the worst QB in the league, Derrick Anderson.

Connor is as good against the run and we just signed a prototypical 0 tech that will help him and the rest of the guys to the ball and fill gas. The drop off with Connor is in coverage and leadership. I fully expect a top 10-15 D by the end of the year.

Luckily for us DA won't be on the field, but I do think he's been instrumental in helping both Cam and Jimmy.

Luckily for you guys you're in a pretty pathetic division so you have a chance.

Not trying to talk smack, but I don't see top 10 defense for you guys. Only one established pass rusher (and a good one), easy to run on defense (or at least it appears that way), and one really good corner.

IMO Carolina is a year or two off from being really good. But with your backs, TEs and young receivers, I think the Panthers are the future of the NFC South.

I can tell you from what Cleveland fans told us, DA is a joke. He's not helping mentor anyone. He would have to know what it takes to succeed, and Anderson isn't very bright. I loved how he took no responsible for his failures in AZ.

Luckily for you guys you're in a pretty pathetic division so you have a chance.

And we should win it.

I'm going to continue watching the Panthers as my second favorite NFC team. The Panthers are going to be fun to watch this year.

One established pass rusher, but I challenge you to find out how many OL for AZ now know who Greg Hardy is. I'd also challenge you to do a little research on him. He's a highly promising young DE who had a good game on Sunday. We just signed a DT that will make a difference in the run game and Ron Rivera will make sure this defense is firing on all cylinders. Having Thomas Davis back is huge too, even with the loss of Beason.

He was brought here for his knowledge of the system from having worked with our OC before, which was his Pro Bowl season. He knew he would rarely see the field when he came here and has taken his role to heart. He's also played well in preseason when given the chance despite getting almost no reps in practice.

The Panthers are going to be fun to watch this year.

I hope they win some games while being fun to watch. The schedule makers didn't do us any damn favors, but it should be great for growth. I feel pretty good about our team as a whole, we just have a couple piece to round out what could be a very good roster.

I thought that all offseason, but I think our biggest need now is picking a DT or OL. A lot can change over the course of a season though and hopefully we will be in a position to just draft BPA when the time comes.

I don't see OL as that big of a concern IF Otah can stay healthy, but I do like Matt Kalil.

DT and CB are our two biggest concerns right now. I'm waiting to see what becomes of LaFell this season, along with Tutu and we'll also get Gettis back.

I would love to get Kalil in here.
