Panthers tried out DT Tony Brown, NT Ronald Fields, T Renardo Foster, G Mike Gibson, NT Gabe Watson, and G Reggie Wells, per league source.

Glad they tried out Tony Brown, he was on the list of guys I wouldn't mind signing. If they felt Fields was better than him, then hopefully that means he's good.

Poor Gabe Watson.... such a beast at Wisconsin, yet another that just can't get the same results at the next level. I guess I shouldn't say poor..... I'm sure he's got more than enough money in his bank account.

Fields has 134 career tackles. He played in every regular season game each of the past four seasons and has 81 career starts.

I'd think that he shud be able to beat out one of our current DT's for the start; experience may give him the edge.
