If only it was that easy.

Ya... I already said it was gonna be a tough game and I don't see a W for us this week. :coolgleamA:

But if we stand a chance, it's not going to be by matching high flying offenses like the Saints tried to do and failed.

We need long rushing drives that end in TDs. Like 7 minute'ers

thats all fine and good. But tell me this, how in the hell are we going to stop the packers Offense?

like with most other elite QBs, pressure will be the key. Rodgers face needs to be in the ground all day. Easier said than done though, so we'll see what the defensive coaches got planned.

toughest team we will face all year. said it before, i'm glad we're getting it over with early.

for starters, as a learning team going against the best will give you a good idea on how to play the rest of the teams on the schedule. you will see what the best has to throw at you and you will have a better idea of what needs to be done to make yourself better. mistakes will be made against these guys, but i'd rather have these mistakes done early and against the best team and learn what can be done better. you are learning from the best that way.

also, any successes that come will give the team confidence.

everything is downhill from there. i'm expecting a very tough game, but its one i think we can hang in there and make a game of.

they almost missed the playoffs and a shot at that Superbowl.....they are good but they haven't proven to be consistant yet IMO.

I give Carolina a 20% chance.

they did it with a very beat up and injured team with several starters and key players on IR, right?

On paper, I agree. But history has taught me otherwise. By week 6 some other team will be considered the best for 2011. All I know is the road to Newton's first Superbowl win in February 2012 is going to be a tough and wild one. We need to remain focused. :sifone:

the doing it w/ x amount on IR was over sold and them overcoming all these injuries.

outside of Finley....they had a lot of guys that were simply replaceable go to IR. Also had some step in that ended up being improvements.

Green Bay has always had a very NO Saints feel about them recently......Saints never have scared me in recent history. There style of play on O and D.....simply is going to resut in several games where teams simply have chances to beat them most would assume didn't have a chance.
