Stallworth kills pedestrian

It is not a joking matter, but this is an internet forum and you'll always have to hear from little dumbasses who want attention.

Fixed.

Not much in the way of real details on this yet. The Browns have made a statement essentially acknowledging that it's a serious issue.

All accounts are that Stallworth is being cooperative with the police. He's submitted to blood tests and such.

Haven't seen much about the victim other than that it was a 49 year old man.

Terribly sad story. You always hate to hear of something like this. Likely as not there are people on this board that have had loved ones hurt or killed in auto accidents as well.

Happened at 7 a.m. Would have had to been a pretty crucial party if he was driving drunk at 7 a.m. when the man was struck. I think it was probably just an unfortunate accident, but an accident nonetheless

You've never been to Miami Beach, have you? Stallworth is cooperating and there's been no report of influence, so it's probably not true, but 7am on a Saturday morning you usually don't want to drive/walk there...

Very sad indeed. Unfortunately, I'm seeing too many people passing judgment before all the facts are out.

Around my neighborhood, there's a main street in which cars routinely go 50+ mph and it's unbelievable how many people (from all different age groups) run across it every single day. I've had too many close calls myself and it's an absolute miracle that in all the time I've lived here, no one has been struck and killed.

I've had a friend hit a homeless man running across the highway in a bad storm (hit him going 70 and tore her car all to hell. That being said, this isn't a joking matter and until the facts come in, you can't really blame anyone. For all we know the guy walking could have been drunk and accidentally stumbled into the road when he didn't mean too. A lot of things are possible here.

7 hours later and that's all he drunk, he should be fine and under the limit. But the fact that he saw they man and all he did was honk and flash his beams....he didn't slam the breaks or anything??????????????

Me thinks Stallworth's testimony is probably not Gospel.

We’re also told that Stallworth claimed in his statement to police that he saw the man crossing the street from a distance, and flashed the high beams and honked the horn of the Bentley he was driving. Apparently, there’s an issue as to whether Stallworth could have taken evasive action because of a barrier along the median.

If this is true then it dont matter if pedestrian cross legal or illegally. If Stallworth saw him and could stop but didnt then it his fault... Stallworth is done. Forgot what it called but its a federal law.

Unfortunately for Stallworth, even if everything he is saying is true, it's a definite possibilty for him to be convicted of manslaughter regardless of whether the pedestrian was jaywalking or not. Someone can still be legally drunk the next morning if one drinks heavy enough the night before.

(...and I don't understand how someone has enough time to flash their lights and honk their horn BUT not hit the brakes)
