We Can't replace a healthy Beason, just can't. Connor is as good of a backup as you can get though. He is excellent against the run, but his coverage is gonna hurt us, I think Rivera even said Connor would be taken out on passing downs.

Gaither isn't great defending the pass either, so I'm not sure why everyone would want to have him on the field instead. Anderson and Davis do well in coverage so Connor would come off in nickle formation, just like always. Either that or blitzing the MLB would add pass rush to defend the pass instead of exposing the coverage skills.

I would suggest sliding Anderson it the mike spot on nickle and dime plays. He is truly good at both pass and run downs.

Yeah they have options, but none of their remaining middle linebackers really excel at pass coverage.
