I read on a community site, and i'll post some reactions!

First game of the season as a starter and Newton is already making an impacted and breaking records.

Cam got me eating sh*t right now. I'm not saying he's great but I didnt expect him to be making plays through the air. He's giving his team a chance to win regardless of who he is playing. He's playing without fear of failure but at the same time he's being as smart as he can with his throws. So for game 1 I eat sh*t for all the sh*t I said about him......but its only one game. Still did a better job than Captain Check down did today........(this is coming from a Falcons fan)

I am blown away by how good he looked. I believe I may have been wrong about him. He looked better than our 7 year veteran QB

Lots of QBs have only one 400 yd. game, but when it's game #1 of your rookie year, with a new coaching staff and offense, and coming off a 2 win season, I'll take that bet anytime.

This came from a Saints board on an LSU forum. It gets ton of traffic is basically the biggest Saints forum I've ever heard of. I know there are saints only forums, but most Saints fans are LSU fans as well so they all flock to the same forums.

The post are about 65-35 in favor of excuses. Some people give credit to the Panthers and Cam but are quickly put down by the rest of the forum.

There has been alot of talk about the heir apparent to the Mannings, bradys, brees', etc...

of course rodgers is great, but matt ryan, mark sanchez, joe flacco and every other "next big thing" already looks like crap compared to newton.

Sanchez in 2 years hasn't had a game as good as Newton's FIRST game
