Think Cam will keep a level head?

i think whitlock has to make more accurate points than "educated guesses" for me to take him more seriously.

"There was absolutely no pressure on Cam Newton on Sunday. No one cared about the Panthers-Cardinals game. "

do these writers intentionally spout reckless garbage in attempt to get people to mention their name?

honestly after one single game I think wondering if Cam can handle the hype is a bit... ehm, premature. the guy has handled things way bigger than having a great rookie debut, and handled them well.

next week we'll get to see how Cam handles his first loss in some time, and see if he can bounce back.

edit: also I can't help but find myself agreeing with KT here... Cam does seem to have been raised pretty well. No doubt the stardom could get to him a little bit, like it does nearly everyone, but I think his head is in the right place.

Teams tend to take on the personality of their head coach.

With that in mind, I expect Newton to become a stoic, grumpy, angry-faced perfectionist for whom nothing is ever good enough.

Nice. I love Rivera. In a few short months he has become my favorite NFL coach by far. Extremely happy he is the Panthers head coach and the exact type of guy you want coaching a guy like Cam that is going to get the attention Cam will as he progresses in the NFL.

On a side note, Chizik was a perfect coach for him last year also. Chiz is not big for hyperbole and kept the team humble and focused all year. I expect Cam's demeanor to stay the same. Cam is Cam. Extraordinarily confident but with the fear of failure that often drives the great ones.

Lmao at there was no pressure for him in the Arizona game...Yea because being a rookie in your first game on the road in the NFL with the whole world rooting for you to fall is no pressure

Cam will be fine. He is a level headed as they come and he knows one game doesn't make an NFL career.
