Official Beason has torn Achilles. Out For Season

This totally sucks. You know that Beason probably wants to put his fist through a wall. Right when things were looking bright with Cam and the Panthers, Beason gets the dreaded Achilles injury.

I'm getting really worried about the Panthers defense. Beason's out and our Dline already has some "holes". Dan Conner is going to have "step up" and fill Beason's shoes somehow.

Gah while this news sucks. Thank goodness we have Connor, Williams, Gaither, etc. Also all this never will be the same talk needs to stop. Beason is a physical specimen, he'll be fine. Get surgery, rest, and work back into shape.

Plus medical technology is growing fast. 10 years ago this might have ended a guy's career, but today these kinds of injuries are better treated. Of course as we all know technology can always fail, and should never put our complete trust in it. Beason's faith will carry him through this tough time in his career, and he will come back stronger than ever.

This news is just depressing. Beason is definitely our best player, and has made our defense formidable in the worst seasons he's been with the team. Who is going to be the leader on the defensive side I wonder. He was the heart and soul of the D. And I could tell we were going to a have a rough year on the defensive side with him, now without him...

I do like Dan Connor, he's an above average MLB, and should play well. Let's hope he stays healthy.

I believe his wingman TD will pick up the slack in leadership. Of course with our excellent linebackers, Beason had two wingmen.:D

This definitely sucks, but, he's expected to be back in 2012. Not having a lockout next offseason will also help, letting him work with the doctors all offseason.

I don't think this is the end of the world. Let him get fully healthy, stronger, more rested for next season, and let him work on learning the new defensive scheme. Next season, we'll have an improved offense, an improved defense, and an improvement to all of the young players.

Next season could be strong.
