It would be the same here if our team was as good as Green Bay and the defending SB champs. Hopefully we shake up the world and beat them however they have the right to sit up on that high saddle as of right now.

That can be a double edged sword if he fugs a game up they will be on him with equal verosity.I think he can handle it though..he is very hard to dislike.

The 2 on PTI were just talking about how they had to eat crow and that this performance was the greatest rookie performance ever. Mike Wilbon was also very impressed with CAm's interview after the game. About how he wasn't excited for himself but dissapointed in not getting his team the win. Cam is a true leader. You can see that on and off the field. We are so fortunate to have Cam Newton as our QB. Many teams will be jealous for a long time. So excited for the future.

Caught that segment. I think Wilbon's words were "Not only am I on the Cam Newton bandwagon, I want to drive it," and Kornheiser said "There aren't 3 players in the NFL you want to see more next week than Cam."

Cool, yes, but still just as meaningless as when they either aren't talking about us or are bashing us.

That isn't true at all. It really is nice to finally have so national attention and be recognized for something. National attention doesn't really mean that much but it is exciting for a team that isn't used to it. Also, being recognized by national media usually means you have done something good or right. Or sometimes really bad. The good thing for us is that we are getting it for something positive. Everyone I have been seeing on ESPN have been saying how excited they are to watch more of Cam Newton and the Panthers. I doubt they have ever been excited to watch the Panthers.

I want the team to get attention no doubt. I would much rather turn on ESPN and see them talking about how awesome Cam Newton is than how awesome Matt Ryan is.

It's clear that there are some teams who stay relevant based purely on their legacy and others have to prove themselves everytime no matter what they do.

I think the city of Charlotte and Panther fans everywhere are going know what it's like to have a top QB like the Patriots fans have with Brady and Colts fans have had with Peyton.

The ESPN analysts are going to be talking about "what Cam is up to" for years to come. Cam might even have some problems with paparazzi following him around like they do the Hollywood stars. Cam will likely have problems with women throwing themselves at him in public. He'll have to get used to embarrassing situations like that. I hope Cam has a really good agent and a personal manager who will keep Cam out of trouble off the field.
