say we do get him, does that mean we are giving up on Jarrett already?

Seems to me if you have Smith, Moose and Holt...with Jake, Jarrett would get few balls thrown his way next year.

If Jarrett turns out good, he has alot of years ahead of him unlike moose and holt

some people forget what John Fox football is and who this current team is setup. they just remember that time on Madden when they were going 5 wide w/ Carolina and think it would be fun. Any money we have needs to go to D.

it's actually a lot of peppers fault as well.

it's not like we are pushed up hard against the cap year in and year out. we use the money that we have access to. this year is just one of those odd years that several things collided that pushed us up against it.

it could be worse. we could be over the cap.

We have talent on the team. I'd rather we spend the money and have a competitive team than be 40 million under the cap and not compete. Yeah Bucs, I said it...

Master God Hurney found a way to keep Peppers, Gross and Gamble all as Panthers in one season when each would have reached record contracts as FA's. Name one TALENTED FA that master god hurney let walk from our organization other than Witherspoon? It would be nice for you to drink a glass of STFU juice and realize that Hurney has done everything possible to keep our talent in house rather then go overspend on an aging FA WR who has injury issues. I am certain the Lambs would not have released Holt if they felt he could still produce at an all pro level.... Meanwhile we have retained two all pro linemen and kept a solid / borderline all pro CB

plus the fact we are a run first team with two stud Running backs and solid OL to get the ball too.

Jarret would be SOL and in a few years Holt and Moose would both be retired.

May be a good offensive setup for next season but horrible for longterm. we need Jarret to develop into a solid #2 receiver.

Now, if we are trading for Cutler:) then this would make sense

Yes, our WRs are so damn good (other than Smitty) that we can ignore future HOF WRs with good character. Whatever

I understand that we do not have much cap room right now, but if we can work out a deal to rid ourselves of Peppers then we should definitely give Holt an offer if he is still available.
