The ages for starting quarterbacks next year

Well he wasn't even going to be the starter coming out of camp if Smith hadn't gotten ill. That indicates to me that the Ravens' offensive staff wasn't sure he was ready to start this year either. Flacco had a pretty good D and a nice run game (who among us hasn't said for years that all the Ravens really needed was a decent QB?) and a really good OC who put him in good positions to succeed also. Now, saying that, I do think he has a cannon of an arm, and seems to have a good demeanor about him and the respect of his teammates. He certainly has a lot of things a young QB could want as far as a team goes to develop into a long term success (though they need 1-2 receivers).

I still can't say for sure that Flacco and Ryan are going to be superstars anyway. I would like to see them after three full years of starting, then it will be more apparent how they are developing.

is troy smith any good..i mean i have heard ok things about him..but idk that much about him

Why should we add Stafford and Sanchez? the other have proven something in the NFL to be considered "quality", we're not adding anyone unless they've proven they can play as a starter for a full season.

Exactly. Let Stafford and Sanchez prove that they can play worth a damn in the NFL. The draft is far overrated and doesn't mean anything. Just because you come out of college as a solid QB doesn't mean jack squat in the NFL.
