All of them except for Russell. And you can add Stafford and Sanchez to the quality list once they're drafted.

Also add

David Carr

Joey Harrington

Pat Ramsey

Ryan Leaf

Heath Shuller

Andre Ware

Stafford and Sanchez are just the latest flavor of the ever popular 1st round can't miss QB

I'd wait and see before adding them to any list

Does everyone realize that we have the 3rd oldest starting quarterback going into next season? I haven't seen that mentioned that often here, everyone realizes how old Jake is right? He's younger than Kurt Warner and Kerry Collins and that is it.

If Fox is here next season look for Mc Cown or an older QB brought in

Fox track record has been the Older vet QB that has learned .

Fox does not do well with young QB's

Peyton is 2 years younger than Jake maybe Panthers trade for him ,at his age he's washed up

I think with a STRONG QB class next draft year it would be a great time to move up and draft our future QB.

They could be looking at Moore too though, the longer McCown sits around the more experiance Moore gets so IMO its smarter to go with the younger guy.

Jake will do fine next season. I still know he can get the job done.

Joe Flacco , Matt Ryan

There's only 4.

You are kidding about Joe Flacco, right? The 3-4 times I saw him this year he was below average. His stat lines were anemic. Ravens won because of defense...not Flacco's play. Flacco on most teams would have been a losing season.

Sanchez and Stafford are not considered can't miss. Most of the experts are saying that they would not even be graded as 1st rd talent in most year's drafts. They are the best of a crappy group.

Well he wasn't even going to be the starter coming out of camp if Smith hadn't gotten ill. That indicates to me that the Ravens' offensive staff wasn't sure he was ready to start this year either. Flacco had a pretty good D and a nice run game (who among us hasn't said for years that all the Ravens really needed was a decent QB?) and a really good OC who put him in good positions to succeed also. Now, saying that, I do think he has a cannon of an arm, and seems to have a good demeanor about him and the respect of his teammates. He certainly has a lot of things a young QB could want as far as a team goes to develop into a long term success (though they need 1-2 receivers).

I still can't say for sure that Flacco and Ryan are going to be superstars anyway. I would like to see them after three full years of starting, then it will be more apparent how they are developing.

Agreed

More reason not to be assuming they will be on a quality list .

For what it's worth, most people were saying the same things about Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco last season. Everyone thought last year's draft was weak at the quarterback position.

Falcons fans are hardly experts, but I happened across this article written a year ago wherein the writer says drafting Matt Ryan would be a huge mistake. Every commenter agrees with him.

Had to share this with you guys, too, for how ridiculous it is. ESPN's Matt Mosley says the Falcons should take Matt Ryan at #3 because, and I quote, he "seems to have the type of intangibles that you could build a team around." What the hell does he mean? Who builds a team on intangibles?!

A Falcons fan scoffing at the idea of building a team on intangibles after their star quarterback nearly destroyed that team. That is rich. It would be worthy of satire had the writer not been completely serious.

Honestly, I don't think I would have drafted a QB if I were in the position the Falcons were in last year either. IMO, it wasn't an ideal situation for a young QB to come in and succeed. At this point, I sure look wrong as he had a nice rookie year. I can see where perhaps getting a new face of the franchise might have appealed to Blank regardless of the team's position due to the circumstances though. Weren't they losing season ticket holders once the Vickletts deserted the team?

Does decent not = worth a crap? That's what he was asking.
