I'd rather we just smear the guy catching punts and take the 15 yard penalty, less risk that way, since we know it can only go for 15 yards if you just hit em before the ball gets there.

We rewatched it and no. I think they believed the punt would go a greater distance and they were trying to down it. Too bad.

I was at the game i saw him start to raise his arm but never actually waived it back an forth to indicate a fair catch. It was close but it was not a fair catch that just what i saw from the stands. I sit 3 rows from the end zone on side that he caught the ball.
