Cam put Auburn on his back last year too. The whole damn team, university, and alumni. 50+ years of waiting to play for it all. 3 national championship teams that were never recognized. All the former players that were back around the program and on the sidelines for games last year.

Cam had all that on his back last year. THEN on top of everything the dumb as hell, pitiful, pathetic, joke of a national media relentlessly TRIED to tear him apart harder than any single player in the history of college athletics.

Cam didn't break. Hell Cam didn't bend. He just got pissed and played harder. Against bama when he scored from the 1 running over the bama defensive line, he took his helmet off as he ran off the field to the bench. There was no smile whatsover. None. He looked pissed off as a SOB. He was furious. He wanted to win in the worst way and wanted bama fans to pay for all the BS they pulled in the pregame and the weeks before.

Chizik called Cam one of if not the most competive player he has ever seen. That includes 3 national championship teams.

The loss today will drive Cam. He was ready for the moment, but I fully expected that.

The kid plays his best when the lights are brightest and the game is on the line. Most would shy away, Cam takes over.
