Our run offense was miserable today. It was great to see that the coaches attacked the weakness of the opposing defense, instead of trying to force a scheme that wasn't working.

Yes very pleasantly so. Cam exceeded my expectations. There is always room for improvement overall but, dayum, that boy is a baller!

Was I pleased? Yes.

However, it is the damndest thing. You see, last season, in a game like this, it's just "eh, whatever." But with Cam back there...with Smitty looking like the Smitty of old...I just had hope. My mindset of "we're not going to be a complete team" was gone after the 2nd TD pass. We had a chance at a win. We played them hard for 60 minutes and had a chance each of those minutes to win the game. And while I am TOTALLY stoked that our QB played like a seasoned vet, I can't help but feel disappointed beyond belief that we lost the way that we did.

The pass rush looked good today in my opinion, better than I expected at the line of scrimmage. That special teams gaffe with the poor tackling giving up the TD on the punt return was most disturbing.

Fitz made that big catch to convert late on a third down, but he had been held in check all day long, so that was acceptable.
