Gentlemen, I think you are missing the point. We learned something extremely valuable today...Cam does have the skill and the accuracy to become an effective QB in this league.

We learned this in his first game. We don't have to blindly believe that some day he will show us enough to give us hope. No more will we have to listen to people say that he will never amount to anything as a QB.

No, he hasn't arrived...but we don't have to wait 2 or 3 years to see if he has it in him. He does, and we saw it today.

Well, not so fast, there's still the competition with Clausen.

Cam displayed amazing arm strength and ball placement...great throws to 89...great throws to both TEs on deep out plays near the sideline. Showed poise against blitzes all game....so mobile with his feet....this guy showed everything today. Hes only 22 years old...watch out NFL...

And you know what, Cam is going to fug it up. Its going to happen, and when it does this board will EXPLODE. But guess what else??? He'll come back, and show more flashes of greatness. It what rookie QBs do. Despite all the skepticism and criticism, he did everything he was asked to do. At the end of the day its only 1 game, but really its much more.

Pretty much.

I don't know how you can be anything but excited for what Cam might bring to us in the future. I know it's just a game, and I know he hasn't won anything at all yet, but at least we had exciting offense even in the loss. I want wins as much as anyone, but at least I feel like we can actually score when we have the ball now.

This team is a project, even if Cam is waaaaaaay further along than I thought he was. This is only the first game of the year... We'll improve. Whether that will translate into many wins or not, I don't know... but I'm excited to watch and find out.
