Who do people think are much worse than us right now? I think our future is brighter than a bunch of teams but the way our defense/special teams played today I think we're in a bit of trouble...

I actually thought our defense played okay today. Not good but just okay. aside from the first drive they only were able to score on some busted coverages which could have been the result of the play calling or people not yet grasping their responsibilities.

But their first drive was really their only real sustained scoring drive.

The I'm happy to be wrong line and those similar to it are some of the weakest cop-outs possible. They are used by people who are overly pessimistic, haters, are think they are so much smarter. When they turn out o be wrong they can be like "well my team is showing improvements so i can still be happy" and it looks cowardly imo. Stick to your guns and don't base your hate on unfounded claims with lack of proof or evidence. Of course we were all nervous to what he would do in the nfl, but that was because he was a rookie and for no other reason.

I'll be drums, Panther55 will be lead vocalist, blackatgrowl will be lead guitar, KT will be bass guitar (racist?), proudiddy on the keyboard. And a bunch of others that escape me at the moment can be backup singers.

It certainly wasn't as bad in the preseason, but we were playing the Cardinals and I don't really think all that highly of their offense this year. Whether their scoring drives were 2 busted plays or 2 long drives, IMO they are still evidence of a suspect defense. There's also our special teams, which really wasn't all that great all night long...

I think we are legitimately in discussion amongst the bottom teams in the league this week. A strong showing or a win would definitely change my mind, I'm just a bit of a pessimist...

on the bright side, we certainly won't have the worst QB in the league again this year :)

Gentlemen, I think you are missing the point. We learned something extremely valuable today...Cam does have the skill and the accuracy to become an effective QB in this league.

We learned this in his first game. We don't have to blindly believe that some day he will show us enough to give us hope. No more will we have to listen to people say that he will never amount to anything as a QB.

No, he hasn't arrived...but we don't have to wait 2 or 3 years to see if he has it in him. He does, and we saw it today.
