Cam Newton is The Real Deal

I never thought Cam was the "sit for x years project". I didn't think he would be ready to start day one due his college system as well as the lockout, but I figured he would be ready sometime during the season probably around game 8. I was wrong and he proved he was ready tonight, I have no problem admitting that. And while I think he had a great game, I am more concerned with what he does after this game. People are entitled to act however they want, but simply because I'm not ready to crown him as the greatest QB ever after one game doesn't mean I hate him.

Will you at least crown him as a guy that every once in a while can give you a 300+ yard 3 TD game?? Because that is all I really want in a QB.

i'm sorry, but I wanted improvement and if Cam isn't throwing for 4 TDs and 500 yards by the end of the year I think we should cut him!!!

He was dam good, better if he had won but with a little more help who knows.

imo, once our defense finds its feet, we'll be pretty damn exciting to watch. our running game WILL get better...

we need to also make sure we don't leave points on the field...

Well, if you don't win your a loser. Right or wrong its how they're judged.

Usually when those judgments are made it is over the course of a time period that is longer than just one game. Just saying.

If Dalton has a big time W/L records after three seasons then your point will actually have merit.

Until then it is just trolling KT. :reddevil:

What is a #2 starter??? Is it a friendly expression for backup?

Give Clausen more discipline and a coach who knows sth about QBs and Football (not your former OC) and he can be a solid starter. At least, he showed that he can play in a Weis-offense at college level in a school which is not surrounded by high-class talents at every position.

Give Clausen an anvil with a chain around his neck and he can swim like the fishes too, right?

By that logic, Peyton Manning should be considered a loser too.

actually manning was initially considered a loser, and leaf a winner due to his early success. there were quite a few news stories that said things about how Manning was looking like the worse choice and leaf was on the right course early etc
