How Bad is Bernadeau?

Just wondering what the general consensus was around here...the impression I get from y'all is that he is the worst guard in the league. Is he anywhere near the capacity to be a solid backup in the NFL or are we talking Attiyah Ellison bad on the offensive side of things?

He's not an NFL caliber pass blocker, but I would say he's a little above average in run blocking.

Terrible guard, but when he filled in at tackle late on 09 he did well.

Bernadeau is to guard as Clausen is to QB.

He's below average, but can do ok if he has solid guys either side of him. There are significantly worse guards starting in the NFL, however he should not be starting.

From what I can see it's not a physical issue, possibly more of a mental aspect.

Bad enough that we signed a guy the week of our first game and he is starting. In other words, even if Hangartner doesn't know the offense, he will out play Bernardeau.

I have been saying for two years that he is pure corn filled crap on roller skates.

Along with how bad he is, I have also wondered why everyone, including himself, pronounces his name like "Ber-nar-dough"? There's only one R, shouldn't it be "Ber-na-dough"?
