could be just not wanting to pay a backup guaranteed money, esp. when the guy has a history of weight issues and for some reason was let go by two teams prior to his being here for some unknown (to us) reason.

it could be that they just didn't like him when he got here.

it could be that he didn't fit what they were trying to do.

it could be that as bad as we think mack might be, MJG could be even worse..esp in pass protection.

it could also be that we sign him again on monday for a non-guaranteed salary.

there's lots of things going on behind scenes that we don't know about, but at any rate, it's not worth raging over.

Fiammetta was a Hurney guy too...

So was Everette Brown. What's your point?

Mine is, Hurney clearly makes a lot of decisions, probably most of them, based on who he likes or feels close to. He has the same "loyalty" problem that Richardson does, which is why Delhomme got that ridiculous contract that he did after imploding in a playoff game, and why Hurney is handing out some of the biggest contracts this season, when he could have paid these guys significantly less and still outpaid what other teams were going to offer them, so he still would have kept them all.

He makes way too many big decisions based on heart and gut feeling, not enough based on research and good sense.

bruce how did you exist before the invention of twitter?

LOL, I hate Facebook, the very idea of it (friendships, staying "in touch", boring), but I decided to try out Twitter not too long ago. I'm over 7,100 tweets, already.

Twitter has made the AP Wire obsolete. As an information hog (news, politics, sports), it didn't take me long to discover that Twitter is the closest thing online to heaven on earth.
