They cut him because of what the orignal post said. If he was on roster come Sunday then his salary is guaranteed for the year as a vet. They don't want a back up they can't just dump with no penalty.

That's understandable. What isn't is why MacKenzie is still here. IMO, MJG is far better than MacKenzie.

Edit: Since MacKenzie isn't vested, they could cut him after this week without paying him for the year, so I suppose it makes some sense.
