Didn't we beat zona last year with a worst team?

hey guys kolb was not our only upgrade we had. We are a much better team then we were last year. new def cord that knows how to coach. yeah you guys saw DRC making big plays but DRC was avg he got burned allot and did not know how to tackle. It was either all or nothing with him. We also have King and Heap at TE. If Beanie Wells stays healthy he will have 1200 to 1600 yards this year he has been a beast in preseason. The only thing you have going for you is your running game. Cam sucks and he wont beat us with his arm.

If your going to discuss football with opposing fans it'd be best to take off the glasses. Pure speculation and cards love isn't the greatest material to spark discussion.

We picked off Warner like 5x back in 09. Basically, besides the playoff game we flat out OWN the Cardinals.

We are 4-0 all-time at Arizona and have won seven straight against them. The last loss was that close game in 2002 against Jake Plummer led Cards if yall remember. And remember Stewart rushed for 137 yards against them last year...

I wonder how much Stew+Williams+Cam will run for...

GO PANTHERS!

You do realize this Secondary already dominated the cards passing attack with the only difference being Richard Marshall and Kurt Warner was under center. Oh, and captain munnerylyn handled Fitzgerald 1 on 1 the whole game in 09

that cards passing game was wildly different... even if Kolb isn't going to be very good, he will be an upgrade from what they had. if our d plays like it did in the preseason this one could be rough.

on the other hand, I'm counting on the fact that it was "just the preseason" and our defensive gurus will show their stuff.

We've improved by being healthy and Cam can't be any worse than clausen. But the cards have improved too. I don't know why people are talking about how kolb sucks we made every qb we faced in the preseason look pretty good. If we don't get pressure it will be a long day.

We absolutely need Cam's running ability to be a factor for the entire season or we wont win games. That could be a real strength.

Im not too scared of the cards though,

11/19/95 ARIZONA (at Clemson) W 27-7

12/30/01 ARIZONA L 7-30

10/06/02 ARIZONA L 13-16

12/14/03 at Arizona W 20-17

11/21/04 ARIZONA W 35-10

10/09/05 at Arizona W 24-20

10/14/07 at Arizona W 25-10

10/26/08 ARIZONA W 27-23

01/10/09 ARIZONA (NFC Divisional Playoffs) L 13-33

11/01/09 at Arizona W 34-21

12/19/10 ARIZONA W 19-12

Carolina leads all-time history 8-3.

Now the past doesn't mean everything when you're talking about how much different both of these teams are now, but it means something.

I want to win this game (and I think we will) for two reasons:

1-For Cam to win his first official NFL start in the same stadium that he

won the BCS Championship in and,

2-To actually watch ESPN next week and not hear this franchise getting

drug through the dirt day in and day out!

okay yes the cards got ripped off in the kolb trade, but they got a capable QB from it at least. Kolb> Skelton/Hall....thats a huge difference. And Fitz will be more of a factor because of this. I still think we should win this game, but to act like Kolb isn't a big upgrade over Max Hall or John Skelton is stupid. and we definitely need to worry about the cards running on us. Beanie could have a huge day, just have to wait and see i guess.

a handful, which was still too many

Guy hasn't thrown a regular season pass at AZ and everyone says he is terrible. Never will understand the rationale of some. Andy Reid runs one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL and he let an elite QB leave for Kolb. I think he will be a good QB, but didn't fit our scheme here.

yes 3 300 yard games and 2 player of the week in 7 starts it sounds like your saying he sucks bc he had one bad game every QB in the league has a bad game im just saying he may not be a Manning or Brady but he will be in the same league as a Matt Schaub
 it was in an andy reid offense that is made to puff up QB stats. keep on dreaming, tho.

I'm worried about Jeff King. Guy is dangerous
not sure if serious. he's a threat to the ground after he makes a catch and a threat to his pants after taco bell. thats about it.

If this game were in Charlotte, we would still be a 3 point underdog. That's because Kolb (great or not) will probably look great against this defense. They make everyone (even Andy Dalton, a rookie) look good. If Fitzgerald has less than 100 yds and 2 tds, I will be pleasantly surprised.

I know we can double team him and try to make Kolb beat us. But if they get their ground game going (and God knows we've looked weak against the run all preseason) we will have to dedicate 8 in the box and Fitz will have a field day. If they establish the run early, we won't be able to blitz because they will start in with the play action.

THis game is absolutely on our defense because I don't see us scoring more than 20 pts. Holding this Cards offense in week one in Arizona to less than 20 points will be a real accomplishment considering how we looked against the Steelers in that first series.

I would put our number at around 24. If we score 24 points, that should be enough to win this game on the road. When was the last time the Panthers scored 24 points?

Sorry, but I'm a realist. We could make a good game out of it, but I see:

AZ 23

Car 16

so...glass half empty = realist. gotcha.

we are playing against a team that has a horrible oline. that has two guys starting at CB who have never started a game in the NFL and their nickel is known to be one of the worst in the league. they have a sucky defense and there's no way their Dline will do much against gross-wharton-kalil-hangartner-otah. newton will have time and the running game will have holes. he'll have olsen and shockey bailing him out and one of their inexperienced CBs will have to cover smith. they will try to double and maybe triple up smith, but that's only going to bite them in the butt.

their upgrade at QB is overrated and their run game sucks.

our defense will have the benefit of beason back in which will automatically make things tighten up. they will also be using a lot more from the defensive playbook. we have a lot more talent on defense and more intelligence running it than the cards do in their equally new defensive system.

you shut down fitz and they've got nothing. our offense just has too many weapons for that D to deal with.

not guaranteeing a win, but just adding balance to your "realism". the biggest thing the cards have going for them is that it's a home game.

that cards passing game was wildly different... even if Kolb isn't going to be very good, he will be an upgrade from what they had. if our d plays like it did in the preseason this one could be rough.

on the other hand, I'm counting on the fact that it was "just the preseason" and our defensive gurus will show their stuff.

the panther defense will look much better than in preseason.
