Godfrey has earned the respect of the guys in the locker room. despite what some may think, that is a HUGE step. hes taking it to the next level

never questioned his attitude, work ethic, talent, or how teammates view him....

just ready for his play on the field to take that next step

Godfrey was a ball hawk last year even most of the passes he intercepted where overthrown right into his arms, it seems like he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. who else on the defense would you make a team captain, Gamble, Captain, James Anderson, Dan Connor or somebody else. Yes Godfrey can find himself out of position at times especially on big plays but you have to admit, he was a game changer last year.

a ballhawks strength is coverage. Godfrey has yet to become a ballhawk.

well if you pick the ball off 5 times in a season what do you call that?

are you suggesting his 5 picks were displays of him being good in coverage? They weren't.

Now, Godfrey has always capatilized on opportunities....but he was often just in the right place to catch a batted ball or erratic throw. He makes the picks then.....which ain't a negative.

His biggest weakness is still coverage and assignments. Until he improves there, he can't be talked about as a "ballhawk".
