Andrew luck to colts?

I don't really see this as evidence of a conspiracy, considering the Colts were looking into drafting a quarterback last draft a bit with interviews etc. They want to get someone who can come in and sit behind Manning and learn.

I think Polian took the opportunity to check out the #1 prospect and visit with his son... I don't think he's trying to suck this year to get him.

Ok, I thought this was sheer non-sense... I figured Jim Caldwell would want to keep his job.

But get a load of this...

Holy fuggin hell. For NFL.com to run this article and report Polian's comments is full disclosure in my book. This would be like CNN.com showing a video of Obama saying "I've just come back from the alien's homeworld." in regard to alien conspiracy theories.

This also lends some support for the "Luck talked out of declaring to avoid Carolina".

Andrew Luck will be a Colt this time next year it looks like. They will have a new HC too probably.

Check my posts in the rest of this thread mav. I seriously thought this Luck to Indy thing was a bunch of crap and figured they would end the season around .500 or so.

But this is not an insignificant article. For them to link Polian to Luck like that on NFL.com is very tell-tale.

I'm not 100% sure that Polian is looking to get Luck with losing, but if I had to guess, there will be a blockbuster trade for the #1 if they don't get it with their record.

Trading for him may be possible but I think Caldwell will try to win to save his job, and I expect him to win enough games to keep them above the NFC West who will fight for the #1 spot.

Agreed completely.

But there may be elements in the Front Office working against Caldwell. I mean, damn... they called Kerry Collins up. He's the last person I would have asked to come in.

IDK what to think anymore of this situation. It seems very up in the air now.

They won't cut Manning. They don't want to burn that bridge. I think when he's done playing football they need to get him as their QB coach ASAP, and potentially a future offensive coordinator/HC. If they DO get Luck, let him sit for 2-3 years behind Manning, they'll be set, then have Manning become QB coach, etc, and develop Luck. Win.
